Living with OJD: Some more questions for ya! :)

Hey guys! So, I've gotten quite a few more questions since the last Q&A and I am finally finished sorting through emails so I picked out 10 or 15 and thought I would share them with you :) I've sorted out all the emails that I got while I was away and I intend to respond to every one of them, even though it might take me a while. So please be patient, and if you can refrain from sending lots of new emails until I respond to your previous ones, that would be great :) Enjoy!

Paris:
Q#1 - What was Paris like?
A#1 - Paris was really cool, it was amazing to see all the sights and eat all the amazing food. The thing that most interested me though was the fashion. Many people wore unique and up-and-coming clothes that I've never seen before. I'm definetely trying to start some trends though!

Q#2 - What was your most rewarding experience during your travels?
A#2 - I would have to answer this with a quick story. There was a man staying in our hotel and he appeared to be by himself for the most part, always wearing a suit or something business-ish. He always tipped his hat to us in the morning breakfast room, but I was always curious about him. Finally, one night I was walking down the hall to get more ice from the machine and he had his suitcase with him. I asked him if he was leaving and he told me that his sister was going into labor back in the States, so he wanted to be there. He told me that he was originally from Canada and then he moved to Georgia with his family when he was just a kid. He traveled back and forth from Paris and New York for business, but he decided to stay just a little bit longer in Paris this time because he loves it so much. I went back to the hotel room and wrote the whole conversation down, and now he has taken the name of John, the friendly hotel guest at the place where Nina stays in the book :)

Q#3 - Where you nervous about going to a place where they don't speak English fluently and everything is different?
A#3 - Yes, I was at first, but once I got there I realized that a lot of people spoke both English and French. Many of the people who I communed with were just there on business from the States, so mostly everyone was fluent in English. I actually got lost when we first arrived, and that was a little scary, but luckily I found my way to the hotel and it was definetely an idea for the story to be worked in.

Home Life:

Q#4 - Do you enjoy being at your own home after traveling for so long?
A#4 - Of course I miss it and it's really nice to be back, but when I was in Paris I was so busy writing that I didn't really have time to miss anything, and in California I was so tired out that I wanted to just relax someplace that wasn't my house, because actually, I wouldn't have been able to relax here because there's so much going on. But it is good to be home and really focus on school work and family.

Q#5 - What did you miss most about your house when you were away for so long?
A#5 - I missed my dog and cat most of all, because a lot of family and friends came with me for parts of the trip. When we were in California, I just missed being familiar with people and missing all my things.

Q#6 - What's your schedule when you don't have anything special going on?
A#6 - I'm usually up by 10 on most days, and then I do my school work, take a break for lunch at noon or so, then go back to working. When I finish around 2 or so, I talk to my friends on the phone and work on some writing or clean until my mom gets home. Then, we usually either go out to eat, or shop on nights that aren't busy. We almost always have things going on.

Rumors:

Q#7 - Who are you dating? I heard that you weren't allowed to date. Is that true?
A#7 - No, that's not true, but right now I am single. I've been away for so long and it's only know that I'm getting back into the swing of things. My parents just want me to be happy, so for right now it's more just myself and me feeling like I'm ready to date again or not.

Q#8 - Did you refuse to make an apperance at a book store in New York City because they didn't pay you enough?
A#8 - No, this is the most absurd rumor yet. First of all, I haven't even been to a NYC bookstore, nor have I been offered money to make an apperance at one. Second of all, I definetely wouldn't refuse to do a book signing or something, even if it was no pay. I don't write for the money, I write for my enjoyment and hopefully other people's enjoyment as well.

Books:

Q#9 - When is the book coming out and what is it called?
A#9 - We've tossed around a lot of names, so far nothing is permanent. I like the current name, but I could wake up tomorrow, look at it again and decide that I hate it. So I don't want to give anything out yet that is subject to change. And it should be coming out this summer, if everything goes as expected. The editing process takes a long time so it's tough to have a set date for a book if rewrites need to be done or something that might take longer than estimated.

Q#10 - Why can't I find On That Day anywhere?
A#10 - It's currently been on backorder in most everywhere, mostly because the publishing company that I was with only allowed a certain number of books to be distributed to each store, and not a lot of copies came from the printer. Supposedly like 50 copies per state, omitting Alaska, Hawaii and Oregon. I'm actually working on getting it switched over to the company I'm now with, because they will help get the word out a little better and print a lot of versions and copies for us. I'm still super proud of that book though.

Thanks for reading, I'll try to have more questions soon but I'm really tired right now so I'm going to go to bed :) I'll keep you guys updated! Bye!

Living with OJD: Good to be back!!!

Hey everyone! Wow, it sure has been a while!
I am back from my trip and I am finished writing my novel! It's in the final stages of editing and should be out to stores by May 2009. I can't believe it's been this long! It seems like I was in Paris AGES AGO! I'm so glad that I recovered this blog, it sure has some great stuff on it. I stayed in Paris until the end of July, stopped home for a few days and then flew out to California for the greater part of August and September. It was SO much fun and I really enjoyed my vacation. I'm just getting back to the internet, as I lost my laptop (:-O) in Paris and couldn't buy another one until we got the correct internet hookup in our California home, which didn't happen until days before we left to come back to NY. I just turned on my computer for the first time in two and a half months! It's crazy to basically jump back into normal life again after such an extraordinary time in my life. I'm getting to work now on school and catching up with friends, even thinking about how to start my next novel! Paris was beautiful, there were so many sights and sounds and tastes and the people were just amazing. California was the absolute best place I could've ever been for a nice relaxing two month break. I'm excited to get back to you all, sorry that it's been so long! I look forward to catching everyone up to speed on what I've been doing and what's to come. A few reminders since last time: PLEASE EMAIL ALL QUESTIONS AND COMMENTS ON ANY OF THE BLOGS, don't leave comments on this website. I don't ever look at the blogs so I won't be seeing any comments or questions here. The email to do so is melaniehasojd@aim.com. And last but not least, I will be figuring out another Q&A segment for you soon, but I have about 300 emails on this account and 900 on my personal email. It's going to take me some time to get back into the swing of things. Please be patient, but keep emailing and let me know how your summer went and what your school year has been like! I can't wait to hear from you all! Bye :)

Living with OJD: 90's kid and OMJ I'm back!

Hey everyone! So I know that I haven't posted in about a month, (actually it's exactly a month) but I've been super busy in Paris all this month! I'm here with my friends and family and an awesome camera and production crew that is following us around, documenting my life as I write my first novel with my new publishing company. It's about a girl who goes on a trip to Paris all by herself at age 15. I'm really excited to hear everyone's reactions to the first draft and cannot wait to send it out to my agent. I've been getting an amazing amount of responses to my blog and I will keep doing it, but I honestly forgot until last week and this is the first moment I've had free and alone where I'm not working on the novel. When I last left you guys it was the night I had gone out to the Camp Rock preimere. Question: did you guys enjoy CR when it came out on the 20th of last month? I hope so! The Jonas Brothers and I have kept in contact and we talk on the phone every once and a while. I cannot wait to see them with Demi Lovato in Saratoga, New York in early August. I'm very excited to support my new friends; they are so talented! Thanks to everyone who has read my blogs since the beginning, it's truly devine what this is turning out to be. I'm so happy that I got to meet a few of my fans yesterday that live here in Paris! It's such an eye opener to see how other people live and talk all around the world and I hope that soon my next books will take me to all other parts of the world.
Okay, so I came across a myspace bulletien and it's called "You know you're a 90's kid if..." and I thought I would show it to you all. But, being the writer that I am, I couldn't just copy and paste it and let it be. I'm gonna give you little snippets after EVERYTHING in the bulletien and that way, maybe you can learn some more about me. Also, before I forget: I'm getting lots of other questions, so I'll start preparing to do another Q&A soon.

You’re a 90’s kid if:
You remember watching
-Kenan and Kel - YES! Amazing show (: Very funny, but I realized that Nick tried to recreate it with Drake and Josh. Think about it.

-Family Matters - I think Nick @ Nite plays this one!

-Full House - Another amazing family sitcom still played on ABC Family every day (:

You remember when it was actually worth getting up early on a Saturday to watch cartoons - Like I said, where did all the great cartoons go?

You remember reading "Goosebumps" - I never read them because they were too scary! But do you guys remember the Babysitters Club? I do!

When everything was settled by:
-rock paper scissors or
-bubble gum bubble gum in a dish or
-ms mary mack - Played all three of these games on the playground probably at least once every day!

You had a favorite song of ALL TIME. Then, You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record your FAVORITE song of ALL time on a tape - I never did this, but I do remember casette tapes!

You remember watching:
-the 1st Batman - I didn't like Batman, but I do remember when it came out
-Aladdin - Awesome movie!
-Ninja Turtles - Not a fan. But I do remember when they were BIG!
-ghost busters - Great show!

You remember Ring Pops - Of course!

If you remember when every thing was "da BOMB!" - Absolutely (:
You remember boom boxes vs cd players - I thought CD players were so weird when they first came out!
Making those little paper fortune cookie things, and then predicting your life with them. - Don't tell anyone this, but I still do sometimes when I'm bored! ;]
You played and/or collected "Pogs" - Don't know what they are.

Silver dollars, which were cool to have - I remember when I thought I was REALLY cool because I had a two dollar bill. I showed it off to EVERYONE (:

Everyone watched the WB - I didn't then, but I do now.
If you even know what an original walkman is - Of course, I still have mine!
You know the Macarena by heart - Who doesn't???

"Talk to the hand" - HAHAHA (:
You went to McDonald’s to play in the playplace - Always did!
Before the MySpace frenzy
Before the Internet & text messaging
When you wish you had a pager
Before Sidekicks & iPods
Before PlayStation3 or X-BOX 360
Before Spongebob
When light up sneakers were cool
When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs
When gas was $0 a gallon
When we recorded stuff on VCR
You had slap bracelets!
You Actually played outside until it was dark
Way back
Before we realized all this would eventually disappear.

I think this is a wonderful bulletien because it does make you realize that America's children are all Gimme-gimme kids. We take a lot of things for granted. Don't ever forget about the older luxuries!

Sorry for any typos! Also sorry this is so long! I'll check back in soon! Bye!

Living with OJD: BIG NEWS!

OMJ OMJ OMJ! Today was officially the best day of my entire life! I'll tell you all about it...
7AM - awoke with a fright because my phone was ringing. I stumbled to the kitchen and found it was that publisher that I had interviewed with. They want my next book and it was officially approved! I am now with Poppy Publishers! I'm very excited because this is the publishing company of The Clique Series, Gossip Girl, Poseur and more! The one, very small downside is that my books won't be as deep, as I'll be attracting a whole new teen audience which is awesome since I still am a teen. I was so excited that I thought I would never be able to go back to sleep but, big surprise, I did anyway.
10AM - I woke up for the second time and started working on my latest book.
11AM - My tutor arrived and I did my school work, which at this point is mostly finished for the year.
1PM - Went out to lunch with some of my very good, very close friends from People Magazine. I was interviewed there quite a while ago and I made some life long friends from it.
3PM - Went shopping with a few of my good friends and some family members. Found an awesome bathing suit!
5PM - Out to dinner with my cousins at the mall.
6PM - Got another very exciting phone call! It was my mom who told me to come home immediately. I had so idea what was going on, so my cousin dropped me off and when I got inside, my mom told me the best news I will ever hear: I was invited to the Camp Rock premiere by none other than THE JONAS BROTHERS! She said that they had read my first book and when they learned I was only 15, they set out to find me. I was so excited, but it meant we had to move quickly! I packed an overnight bag and we took off to the local airport. We landed in NYC at 7:30 and off we went to the most exciting night of my life.
8PM - THE JONAS BROTHERS arrived at the theater. I had already met Demi Lovato and some other awesome stars of the movie. When they said their hellos to everyone, I thought I was gonna pass out. They kept getting closer and closer to me and finally, they saw me. They came right over and each of them gave me a big hug and said they couldn't wait to meet me! I was so happy!
9PM - The movie started and guess what? NICK SAT RIGHT NEXT TO ME! I was so excited! The movie was phenominal; I'm still humming the music!!!
12AM - Said goodbye to JB and thanked them for such an amazing night. JOE KISSED ME ON THE CHEEK and asked about my newest book which I was happy to tell him about. Went to our hotel and I am completely exhausted!

So today was full of great news and shaking with excitement. I don't want today to end! I just found out that I'm staying in the same hotel as the Jonas Brothers, so I'll probably get to have breakfast with them tomorrow. This is seriously the best day ever.

Thanks everyone for checking in, you guys are awesome! Keep emailing me with ideas for blogs, I'm working on a few right now!

Living with OJD: THANK YOU.

Hey everybody! A couple things before I start: one, I'm sorry I haven't posted in about a week! Things have been super busy! I'll explain in a little bit.. two, I want to thank you all for sending me emails making sure I'm okay and also a big thank you to a few of you who have bought my book! I'm not quite sure where you found it, but kudos! I hope you guys like it!

Okay, so I've been pretty busy this past week, I had two of my first interviews and a very special audition I'll tell you about as well! The first interview was with a publishing agency who wants to get my next book on their line. I'm really excited about it because they're very well known and while I love the little family feel of my current publisher, it's just not the recognition I would've hoped for. The other interview was for a teen magazine called Seventeen, maybe you've heard of it? Haha, it's a huge corporation and I'm super excited to be a featured writer for their upcoming Summer issue. Make sure you pick up a copy! My other exciting peice of news, I went to an open casting call/audition in NYC for a new musical called Spring Awakening! I love the musical and the audition was like a dream come true. I'm not sure what they thought, all they said was "good job" and "thank you" so hopefully I'll get a callback, but if I don't, it was still really amazing. I met a lot of cool people in line waiting all day with similar interests, so that was wonderful. I can't imagine what it would be like to make it on Broadway, but I'm assuming it would be amazing. Wish me luck and I'll get back to you guys about it soon!!!

So this was a quick update, it took me a while to write though, I'm working on a new book and I keep getting side tracked. I've finished three books so far, this will be my fourth one. I'm hoping my second one will be published sometime in late Summer with the new company, but we'll see. My career is just taking off, and I thank all of you guys for being there for me.

Living with OJD: More questions !

Hey everyone ! I want to start this off by saying two things : one, you guys are seriously awesome and two, I'M SORRY that I haven't been able to respond to everyone's questions. Since a couple days ago when I posted my first Q&A I have gotten so many new questions! I really appreciate it, everyone. I'm getting a lot of related questions, so I decided that I'll be a little organized in this blog ( for once ). Keep going with the shoutouts, I'm trying to post as many as I can !

Q: How tall are you?
A: I'm about 5'6.

Q: Are you ticklish?
A: Not extremely, but a little.

Q: Are you afraid of anything?
A: The dark, large birds, horror movies, being alone ...

Q: Have you ever/ do you collect anything?
A: I used to collect those things inside bottle caps, like the little bluish-greenish thing. I think at one point I collected rocks =] And if you saw my room today you'd think that I collect notebooks full of story ideas, but I don't ; they just happen.

Q: Where do you get ideas for your books?
A: Everywhere! I find little objects all the time that make me think of something else and soon, I'm evolving a story out of it. I would have to say though, my biggest help is the newpaper. Take a look at the comics sometime if you're interested in writing ! You might get a little, silly idea and think about it so much that it turns into an elaborate, awesome idea !

Q: What kind of movies do you like to watch?
A: I love comedies, specifically romantic ones. I'm a big chick-flick girl. I'm not crazy about adventure movies or anything, and horror movies really scare me.

Q: Do you like to cook?
A: I love it ! I rarely do, but I mostly love to make desserts. I love to bake cupcakes, brownies, muffins, cakes .. !

Q: Have you ever been proposed to?
A: Haha, once ! Since I'm only fifteen, I did turn him down, but he was just some random guy that I had gone on two dates with a while back. He got kind of obsessed rather quickly.

Q: What's the sickest you've ever been?
A: Probably when I had mono. I mean, I didn't feel like I was gonna die or anything, but it was just a surreal feeling. I didn't want to do anything and I was just tired all the time. That was the worst part.

Q: What's your favorite movie?
A: I have a couple ! My all time favorite movie is Lion King, but the one movie I could watch over and over again would have to be either Elf or Juno. I love Superbad also. My favorite that's in the theaters now is Made of Honor. That was super !

Q: Do you blast the music in your car?
A: I always listen to music in the car ! I'm not sure that I blast it, but next year when I have my own car, I will be !

Q: What's your favorite season?
A: I'm a big fall/winter fan. A lot of my friends / family can't stand the winter here, but I don't mind it at all. I love an excuse to get all cozied up around a fireplace !

Q: Do you have any nicknames?
A: I sure do ! My mom and the rest of my family / close friends call me Mel, but some of my other friends have special, random nicknames for me. Mouie, Lanie, Rose, Melerie, Melcamee, etc.

Q: What electronics can you not live without?
A: Def. my cell phone, a camera, a computer, iPod ( even though mine's broken ! ), a straightener, and I can't think of anything else, but I'm sure there are more !

Okay you guys, it's 4 in the morning and I can't hold my eyes open anymore ! I love all your questions, they're just great. Thanks for all the awesome original questions, they're really cool to read. Please keep sending them, I only got about halfway down my list this time, so I'll for sure be posting another one of these soon ! I love to here about you guys too, so maybe you guys could send some Q&As to me ! That'd be so cool. Well, bye ! xoxo ! Tell your friends !

Living with OJD: Q&A with yours truly..

Okay, here's my best Q&A for now..
Q: How old are you?
A: I'm fifteen.

Q: How long have you been writing?
A: I've been writing ever since I learned how. I think my first story is from kindergarten and I haven't stopped since. But the first actual novel I sent to publishers took me about two years and I was thirteen when I finished it, and fourteen when I sent it.

Q: What's your favorite bands?
A: My favorite bands are Metro Station, Jonas Brothers, Panic at the Disco, Boys like Girls, Carolina Liar and Fall Out Boy. My favorite solo artists are Billy Joel, Miley Cyrus, Colbie Caillat, and Chris Daughtry.

Q: How tall are you?
A: I'm about 5'6, the last time I measured.

Q: What's your natural hair color? Have you ever died it?
A: I'm brunette, I have been since I was little except for a short period of time a few summers ago when I had some really gross blonde highlights.

Q: What's your favorite color?
A: Green. I don't know why though.

Q: What's your favorite song?
A: I have a couple, actually. It's a tie between That Green Gentleman by Panic, Seven Things by Miley Cyrus and Play My Music from Camp Rock by the Jonas Brothers. Also I love A Little Bit Longer by the Jonas Brothers, but it's unreleased.

Q: What's your birthday?
A: July 6th. It's the same as the president's =]

Q: Where do you shop?
A: I love Garage and American Eagle. I buy all my jeans at PacSun and Famous Footwear for most of my shoes. I buy jewelry kind of anywhere I see it.

Q: What colors are your room?
A: My walls are white and all my furniture is black. It's a really cool contrast. I think I'm gonna get someone in here to paint a mural of the Jonas Brothers on my wall. How awesome would that be?!!?

Q: Do you like to meet fans?
A: Absolutely! It's so flattering, I really appreciate it when people stop me for a picture. I hope someday I'll be like Jodi Piccoult or something, but we'll see.....

Q: When's your next book coming out?
A: This summer, I believe it'll be early August if things go as planned.

Q: What's the name of your book?
A: It's called On That Day and it's about a three kids who lose their father on September 11th. It's not totally non-fiction, since the family isn't real, but I know a lot of people who did lose their family members and I feel that this book reflects some of the things these families went through. My heart goes out to all of them.

Q: Are you christian?
A: I am, but not "hardcore." I don't go to church often, but I do go on holidays, which is wrong of me, I know.

Q: Are you single?
A: No, currently, I have a boyfriend. It's not the guy from summer camp, but he's a really awesome kid whom I love a lot.

Okay, that's all for now! Bye!

Living with OJD: Analyzing a bulletien..?

Heyy, I'm really bored so I figured I'd post something up here while I have the time. I can't promise this will be awesome, but I can promise it will be remotely interesting to read.
So, there's this bulletien on Myspace where you put your iPod on shuffle and answer the questions with the titles of the songs. I filled it out, and I think my answers kind of make sense, in a weird way. So, I'll put my questions and then my answers, then I'll put in ( ) those things what I thought my answers meant.
IF SOMEONE SAYS "YOU'RE HOT" you say? Smooth. (Haha, like "wow, you're smooth")
WHEN YOU GET DUMPED YOU SAY? Stay Beautiful. (I'm not gonna see them as often, and if I was dating them I obviously thought they were cute, so I'll be like "stay beautiful")
HOW DO YOU FEEL TODAY? It's Only Life. (I'm not gonna let how I'm feeling today affect me.)
WHAT IS YOUR LIFE LONG GOAL? I Don't Wanna Be In Love. (So my goal in life is to never be in love.)
WHAT DO YOUR FRIENDS THINK OF YOU? Beautiful In Los Angeles. (Aperently, they want me to go to Los Angeles, then I'll be beautiful?)
WHAT DO YOUR PARENTS THINK OF YOU? She's Makin' Me Lose It. (I'm just so crazy, I'm making my parents lose their minds.)
WHAT DO YOU OFTEN THINK ABOUT? Last Christmas. (I find this one hilarious. It's kind of self-explanitory.)
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF THE PERSON WHO LIKES YOU? Unfaithful? =] (Aperently the guy who likes me is unfaithful.)
WHAT DOES YOUR BEST FRIEND ALWAYS SAY TO YOU? Celebrate Me Home. (I have no idea.)
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO BE WHEN YOU GROW UP? You're Crashing, But You're No Wave. (Maybe I'll be a surfer?)
WHAT WILL YOU DANCE TO AT YOUR WEDDING? Feedback. (HAHAHA, I find that kind of an inapropriate song to play at a wedding..)
WHAT WILL BE PLAYED AT YOUR FUNERAL? Rockstar. (Sure?)
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST FEAR? She's No You. (Like, some guy saying that he likes someone else better.)
WHAT IS YOUR BIGGEST SECRET? Lyrical Lies. (No idea, really.)
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR HOUSE? How Far We've Come. (We have remodelled our house recently..)
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF YOUR CRUSH? The Great Escape. (Whenever I think of him, I can get away from normal life?)
WHAT DO THE GIRLS THINK OF YOU? The Carpal Tunnel of Love. (No idea.)
WHEN YOU DUMP SOMEONE THEY SAY? Control. (Like, don't flip out. Have control.)
WHAT’S YOUR LIFE MOTTO? Waiting for the Heartbreak. (I'm just waiting to get hurt again?)

So, I thought they were interesting. Fill out the same survey and send me your answers and what you think =]
Also, I posted some shoutouts in my profile, so check it out. I'll be constantly updating that.
Has anyone noticed that Blogger is not working very well? It keeps saying that publishing may fail or something. I don't know.
Thanks for all the questions, I'll be posting another Q&A blog soon. Thanks everyone! Bye!

Living with OJD: Lotsa stuff.

Hey everyone! OMJ, I'm so excited that I finally get a minute to post a new blog! I really have to apologize, I haven't been posting in so long! I think I'll make it up to you by posting like three unbelievably awesome blogs very soon. This will be one of them :]
Okay, so a couple things today that I've been thinking about, the first is memory. I have issues with my memory where I'll walk into a room and then just forget why I went in there. OR, I'll put something like a water bottle in the freezer to get it cold faster, then I'll go into the freezer for something else days later and it'll be totally frozen. I was just wondering if these kinds of things happen to everyone. I don't know about you, but I find it EXTREMELY annoying. Let me know =]
Next, I'd like to say congratulations to David Cook for winning American Idol!!! I'm really happy that he won, even though I do feel bad for Archy. His voice was excellent, and I really enjoyed hearing him, but I think that David C. will have a better chance at a career in the pop/rock genre. I can't wait for the tour. We have tickets! Yay!
And lastly, I would just like to take some time out to answer some reader questions...
What's your favorite thing to eat? Hmm, I love Luna Bars and also potato skins. French fries are my weakness!
If you were stuck on a desert island, who/what would you bring? I would bring my mom and probably my best friend Courtney, also a computer and my cell phone.
What do you look for in a boy? I love a guy who can play guitar, also with a great smile and gorgeous eyes. But mostly, I just want someone with a great personality. Someone who will make me laugh, but also someone who can carry an educated conversation.
What do you wanna be when you grow up? I would love to be a veternarian. Maybe an interior designer, or something with little kids. I'm pretty much undecided so far!
That's all I can do right now, you guys, but keep asking questions and emailing me, it's really awesome. I think I'm gonna put my shoutouts in my about me/profile, maybe that'll be easier. Thanks and bye!

Living with OJD: Updates! I'm not dead..

Okay HELLO everyone! I just wanna let you all know that I'm NOT dead, nothing has happened since I last wrote except for I've been super busy with rehearsals for the musical and stuff. I'm sorry you guys! The show will be over in two and a half weeks, so I'll be able to do more, I promise. Meanwhile, if I have some spare time, I'll be starting a new blog with Jonas Brothers fanfics! Wootwoot. I'll be starting it right now, so I'll comment this blog with the url. Thanks and bye!

Living with OJD: Well aren't I a little dickens..

Hey guys, I'm really sorry I haven't posted in a long time. Since like Tuesday! I had some pretty bad news on Wednesday, and so I've been pretty down this week. One of my best friends, David, his little brother got hit by a car Tuesday night. They kept him going at the hospital until about six in the morning, but he passed away. When David called me, I rushed right over to his house and spent the day with him and some of our other friends too. The wake is tomorrow afternoon, so I might not post anything tomorrow, and Sunday's Mother's Day so that's pretty much out of the question. I'll try on Monday. Sorry about shoutouts, they've pretty much gone nowhere recently, but I'm def. gonna get them up by the end of next week. My prayers and wishes go out to David and his family<3>

Living with OJD: Promised something good...

Well hello. It feels like I haven't had a legit topic in ages, so I'll try my hardest to make this one interesting. Right after this one I'll be posting another one with all the shoutouts. Alright, so I'm going to be talking more about my summer camp boyfriend in this one because I have so very interesting news! Before I get into all the details, he emailed me the other day and told me that he was coming to live in NJ where I am! I'm really excited to see him again, and he's going back to camp this summer so I will be too (hehe!) and I'm just overall really excited. So I thought I'd talk more about him. His name is Dereck, he's sixteen now, (he just turned 16 about two weeks ago) and he really likes soccer. He wears cargo shorts mostly in the summer and a black sweatshirt and on anyone else it would look stupid but on him it looks amazing. I don't mean to sound too obsessed, but he is gorgeous. I'll try to find a good picture from camp and put it up here. He was really nice to me when we did co-ed camp activities and he always complimented me and made me feel really good. We started talking more and more but we got in trouble a lot cause we were kind of ignoring everyone/thing else. So we we pretty much banded from siting with each other at funtions they had, which absolutely sucked. About a week after that, we talked after one of their things and we decided we would try to sneak out late at night and talk. It started with a couple of nights around midnight and then we started doing it every night until really early in the morning. We learned a lot about each other and he asked me out. It was kind of hard to pretend we didn't have anything going on when we were around other people, but we managed. We got closer and closer at night, and we only got caught once, surprisingly. Then, one night it seemed like we were perfectly happy with each other, it was getting closer to the end of the summer, and we made a really big decision. We thought and talked a lot about it before we did anything, but after a couple nights of discussing, we gave it up to each other. I'm not gonna say the real words, but you should know. If you don't, then you probably shouldn't be reading this. Haha, sorry. When we were finished, he told me that he loved me. I said it back, and it was totally the best night of my life ever. I was very happy with the way things turned out. It was horrible at the end of the summer, but I think that we're gonna get close again with him moving and all. I can't wait!!! Okay, well sorry this turned out a lot longer than I thought it would, but I'll see what you're responses are to it. Hey to all the new readers and thanks for spreading the word! Shoutouts are coming up! xoxo, bye!

Living with OJD: bored...

Elloello. So this'll be quick, just checking in to say hey to all my new readers and thanks for supporting me! I actually saw on someones myspace it said "Read Melanie's Blog: It's suuper awesome!" and that kind of made my day. So THANK YOU EVERYONE! Seriously, it means a lot. I'm really sorry about the whole shoutouts thing, I know I'm terribly behind and the comment I left on the other blog didn't really work cause I didn't space everything right! I'm sorry, but keep sending shoutouts, I WILL make a blog sometime this week with just a long list of shoutouts. Email your s/o's to me at melaniehasOJD@aim.com! And as some of you figured out, Melanie Has OJD is my screename, so if you want to talk to me, feel free! Okay, well I'll be posting a legit blog tomorrow! Bye! xoxo!

Living with OJD: Quick update..

"My names Mufasa, I'm the king of the land, I'll come smack you with the back of my hand!" - Kevin Jonas =]

Hello (: what's up? I don't know why I said what's up, because I'm not talking to anyone... Well I am, but not directly, I guess is my point. Never mind. So yeah. I wanted to just apologize to everyone who was hoping their shoutouts would be in my last blog, I just kind of walked away from my computer afterward and I forgot until this morning. So I'll just put them at the end of this blog. I'm really SORRY. But here's somebody I'm not sorry to. (Did you like that segway?! =]) Some radio show guy who interviewed Kevin over the phone! I don't know who it was, but if I ever meet him, I'm liable to smack him in his face. For Kevin's sake. Kevin, Joe and Nick all wear purity rings, meaning that they will stay sexually pure until marriage. As soon as this dude found out, he totally was like "you mean to tell me that you are twenty years old and there's no hooking up on the tour bus." I yelled at my computer screen. Seriously, this guy thought the world revovled around sex. WHICH IT DOESN'T. So I got pretty mad. But Kevin was very professional about it all. He was like "I'm just looking for the right girl, and when I find her.." and "It's really just a private decision me and my brothers made..." I left a comment like go Kevin! Because I think that was totally right for him to do, and he just scored like twenty points higher in my book. So yeah. I thought this was gonna be short..but.. Guess not. Oh and I totally went to Texas for a day, and it was amazing. But then we came back for a concert. Lmfao =] So okay, I gotta go. Busybusyday. I'll clue you in later. Bye!

Living with OJD: I'm living with it, do you have OJD too?

"Slow down sugar, I'm a diabetic." - Nick Jonas =]

Hello folks. So, a couple people have been asking me, what are the symptoms of OJD? If you don't know, OJD is Obsessive Jonas Disorder. Here are twenty - twenty five (I'm not sure how many I'll end up with..) signs you have OJD. Enjoy! Oh, and thanks for all the shoutouts, I'll either put them at the end of this blog or in a comment...

1. You know every song of theirs by heart (not just S.O.S., Year 3000, Hold On, etc.)

2. You love each of the Jonas Brothers the same.

3. You know their full names, nicknames and code names.

4. When you daydream, it's always about what would happen if you met JB or if you got married to one of them.

5. You own more than 5 Jonas Brothers posters and display them proudly on your wall.

6. You say "Awkward!" and other JB quotes at random times every day.

7. You buy the same clothing and accesories that the Jonas Brothers wear or have worn.

8. The most random objects remind you of them. (ie. Cornpops, water bottles, etc.)

9. You are always leaving comments on their myspace and youtube accounts.

10. You bug your local radio stations to play them, and if they don't, you keep calling!

11. You spend all your free time looking for new JB pics, info and videos.

12. If anyone says they don't like the Jonas Brothers, you don't talk to them for days or until they apologize.

13. Your entire family knows you are a fan and they all pretty much know everything about them because of you.

14. You have been to at least one concert (and rocked out to every second of it!).

15. You know what city the Jonas Brothers are in at all times, even when not on tour.

16. Your iPod has all JB songs and songs that remind you of them.

17. Your ringtone is a Jonas Brothers song.

18. If JB says they like a certain song, you like it too, even if it's not your style of music.

19. You celebrate their birthdays.

20. You know EVERYTHING about them.

21. You own all of their CDs (including Bonas Jonas!).

22. You watch their youtube videos over and over (and laugh every time!).

23. JB tickets are on the top of every Christmas/holiday/birthday list you've ever had.

So yes. Every single one of these apply to me. How many apply to you?
I'll do shoutouts in a comment for this blog. Thanks to everyone whose reading! Comment/email and tell your friends!
Bye! xox =]

Living with OJD: New blog stuff...

Happy May everyone!!! I'm super excited to start a new month. So yes, I promised new stuff, and here it is.....!
First of all, that picture up there is probably one of my favorite pictures ever. And yes. I'm sorry about the super long post last night, I didn't ever think it'd get that long. People were asking me to write stuff about camp and my mysterious summer boyfriend, so I hope you got an idea of it. I think I'll put more of that sometime soon. Second, I have a couple of shoutouts to do, so I think I'll get started. It's awesome how this is becoming so big! Thanks you guys =]
Amber1007, hi and I love reading your stuff!
Mel2Kaz, you're awesome!
Finger eleven, WHOA. I can't believe an actual band reads my stuff! That's so cool!

THANKS YOU GUYS!
I'm going to Texas tomorrow to see my best friend, so I'll try to post something down there, maybe some pictures too!

Living with OJD: Updates and fifty things...

Ello, ello. So, now that I actually have an audience (kind of), I figured I better start making these with some better content in them. Before I get started with this REALLY LONG POST, I should thank all my new readers and commenters. You guys are amazing! Okay, so what I'm going to do here is I thought of 50 things that I'm going to talk about today. Why don't I just put these 50 things into 50 different posts? I don't know. So here we go:
1. My laugh - When I laugh (which is very often), I totally lose it. I can't breath and I snort sometimes, and I let out a high pitched squeak. So it's pretty embarassing, and everyone makes fun of me for it. (All those people shall remain unnamed, thank you very much!)
2. One of my many obsessions - I USED to be (not anymore, thank goodness.) terribly obsessed with polos. If you don't know what they are, they're basically shirts with collars. And yeah. Looking back at pictures of me, I was like OMJ (oh my Jonas!), why the heck did I wear them? They look totally ridiculous, so word to the wise, if you were them, just stop now.
3. When I stayed over at this summer camp for the whole summer, I really liked this guy, and he actually liked me too, so it was good. Unfortunately, I was on the girls side of the lake and he was on the guys. So every night for about a month we stayed up until two and we would both sneak out and he would swim across the lake and we would just sit on the dock and talk, sometimes until sunrise. He lived in California, so now we never talk anymore, but I really think that he was my first love. And I am still very much in love with him.
4. I have never (knock on wood) broken anything in my body. One year I had mono, and that sucked, but besides that, I've been a very healthy person bone and body-wise.
5. When I was about four, I got into the drivers seat of my mom's car when she was on the porch talking to someone and I drove all the way down the driveway. It was pretty awesome. And I remember it, too. I also remember getting punished pretty badly...
6. About a year and a half ago, me and my friends were at Wendy's and we totally got kicked out because they thought we were drunk. We were thirteen at the time..and we weren't drunk AT ALL.
7. I got detention for two weeks because me and this girl (who is now one of my best friends) got in a huge fist fight at lunch. She won.
8. It is physically impossible for me to leave the house without my cell phone. If I do, I can't get down my street before I realize it and I freak out and start hyperventalating and stuff until my mom brings me back to the house. Same goes for makeup.
9. From the time of fourteen years ago, to my estimation, I've watched the movie The Lion King between 3,000 to 5,000 times.
10. I used to love the smell of home improvement stores, like Home Depot. I was actually planning on working there, just for the smell.
11. When I was younger, I didn't want this mini Christmas tree in my room because I thought Santa would come into my room and I guess that just freaked me out completely. I made my mom put it downstairs.
12. I've been to New York, Maine, Canada, Virginia, West Virginia, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, South Carolina, Rhode Island, Massachusetts, Georgia, Florida and I think that's it, but I'm not sure.
13. I love the show, The Office, and I seriously don't think I could live without it. When it was off the air because of the writer's strike, I bought all three seasons on iTunes and watched one of the episodes every Thursday night until it came back on.
14. I heard one of my uncles once say "It's raining cats and dogs!" and I went outside with a box of dog bisquits and sprinkled them all over our street until my mom came out and yelled at me. I ended up getting really sick.
15. When I was in first grade my best friend threw her arm back without knowing I was there, and she knocked out one of my front teeth on the playground. I remember it, it gives me shivers to think that I actually got down on the ground and looked around for my tooth.
16. I watch those scary ghost hunter shows sometimes to pretend I'm all brave when my brother has friends over, but I usually turn them off before the opening credits even start.
17. I made out with my boyfriend from summer camp on the roof of one of the counselors cabins just because that was the only place we could kiss without being noticed.
18. When I don't go to camp over the summer, me and my two best friends have sleepovers EVERY night and we stay up until four and don't wake up until two or three.
19. At the end of summer camp the year with my boyfriend, they had a pool party. I didn't want to swim because Lizzie (one of my friends from camp) had just curled it for our going away party after the pool party. But my boyfriend pushed me in. With my curly hair and expensive dress that later he promised he would pay for but I told him not to worry about it.
20. I have had someone call me on my cell phone 48 times in one hour, and every single time I just let it ring.
21. I am totally against drugs and drinking, so I never plan on starting any of that. I have too many friends whose parents drink and do drugs to fall into that stupid addiction.
22. The only time I have failed a class in my life was in sixth grade and the class was home and careers. I was absent half the quarter with mono, so nobody really cared anyway.
23. I am currently learning french, but I hate my teacher, so I refuse to do any of the work. That'll probably be the next class I fail..
24. For my birthday one year my parents rented a hotel. The whole thing. We had EVERYONE in my family there. And all my friends and me stayed up all night telling scary ghost stories, and then we all felt really mad and tired the next day.
25. I have fallen up and down numerous flights of stairs, but the one I will always remember is the one where I was on my cell phone and the stairs on our porch had ice on them. I couldn't sit down for several days and I still have scars on my back, arms and legs.
26. I cried in fourth grade because me and my best friends weren't in the same class and everyone made fun of me for it.
27. I have, in one day, gotten 24 phone numbers when I went to this Canadian bar with my best friend Courtney.
28. I think the most that I have ever spent at the mall is $815 on a pocketbook, about four outfits, three pairs of shoes and some jewelry that I never ended up wearing. Whoops :/
29. When I was in kindergarten, my mom brought me to the YMCA where I took these swimming classes. In the last class we were supposed to do a back float or whatever I started crying because I didn't want to drown.
30. I dated a 19 year old when I was fourteen and I broke up with him because somebody else asked me to the spring dance.
31. I have stayed up for several hours watching one of my favorite shows, Little People, Big World.
32. My older brother is 17 and he got drunk once at a party and he called me from his friend's car and told me how much he loved me and he thought I did a wonderful job in a play that I had been in when I was five. Yeah..
33. I've lied about my age, numerous times.
34. I stole some gum from kmart without even realizing it when I was in fifth grade. I was carrying it in my hand and I just walked out.
35. Dated one of my best friends ex boyfriends even though I knew she still liked him. She got really mad when she found out and told him all these horrible, untrue things about me until he finally dumped me because he thought I had really bad toe fungus or something.
36. I started reading Harry Potter when I was twelve and I still haven't finished it. It's probably one of the most boring books ever. I put it down after the first half-chapter. I saw two of the movies and left half way through the third one because it was so boring.
37. Me and my best friend Jessica (we were four at the time) made up a language.
38. I have dressed up for halloween twice as Snow White and three times as a baby. I was lacking creativity greatly.
39. I am a huge Britney Spears fan, and as much as my mom hates me for it (she doesn't really hate me, but..) I look up to her and she is my idol. I don't know why, but she's pretty much amazing.
40. I have a 5,000 texting plan and this month (don't tell my mom..) but I have sent 7,000 so far. She'll be getting the bill in a few days, don't be surprised if I get grounded for a longgg time.
41. I am allergic to latex bandaids, and I used them alot when I was young, and I alway broke out, but I never assumed it was because of the brand of bandaid until a couple months ago.
42. I've only been to six real concerts before, and the first one was a Hilary Duff, followed by Shania Twian. Yep, you could say I'm pretty darn cool. I also went to two Jonas Brothers concerts (another one in the summer), a Metro Station and an American Idols one.
43. I had a locker next to my worst enemy for about half the year and then my mom called the school and made them switch her to another hall. It was really funny cause she thought it was the girl on the other side who hated her.
44. I slept on the beach about two and half months ago with my three best friends. I couldn't sleep, so I walked down in the water and it was absolutely amazing. From then on, I have desperately wanted to go to the beach at night with someone I love, and I keep thinking about my boyfriend from camp..
45. I won a hula hoop contest in my school when I was in second grade and I think the other girl who almost won still hates me.
46. I had to go to the principals office several times in eigth grade for some really stupid reasons like bringing a paper to my teacher and stuff like that. And every time I got freaked out because I thought I would get killed or something.
47. I used to write fanfictions and post them on my myspace, but nobody liked them so I stopped.
48. We didn't have to say the pledge in ninth grade, so I forgot it. I had to re-learn it and look like an idiot in tenth grade homeroom.
49. It feels really good to me when I beat someone that I don't like in a competitive sport, but unfortunately it hasn't happened yet. Except for once. And it felt gooooood.
50. Me and one of my best friends made a fake myspace account and made this guy who our other best friend fell in love with. She wanted to meet him, but he said he couldn't, and eventually she found out, but surprisingly she wasn't mad.

So yes, that's my extremely long random facts blog, so I hoped you enjoyed it. If you even read it all.

Living with OJD: Raven Symone cancelled? OH NO.

RAVEN SYMONE'S TOUR WAS CANCELLED. Pretty much ruined my day.
Oh wait, no it didn't. I have a life.
Haha, sorry, I know that's mean to the people who actually like her, but seriously, don't expect sympathy from me. I really don't like her. She was cute on the Cosby Show, that's about it. I watch That's So Raven every once in a while, it's suuuuper lame. Of course, I guess it's nothing better than anything else on Disney, except for the Jonas Brothers. They're amazing. I called my best friend (hi Jessica!) and she was like "Yeah, well, you would feel the same way if JB cancelled a tour." I assume that's true. But oh well. It's RAVEN, people. Come on, get a grip. So yeah. Anyways, even though I don't like her, I do feel bad, esp. if anything happened to her or her family or something, but nobody knows yet. Her manager has yet to release a statement. Blahblahblah. Thanks to new commenters, I know there are a couple out there. Keep telling your friends! If you want a shoutout, email me: melaniehasOJD@aim.com. I have four shoutouts for today, so that's pretty cool. Hello to Jarrod, Marissa, Amber and Peter! Thanks you guys, you're awesome (:

Living with OJD: Updates/random..

Hi. So this is gonna be a quick one probably, I'm really tired. It's only like nine, but I got up super early so yeah. And I have to get up super early tomorrow morning too. Okay, just one thing to talk about today, and that is calling people. I am seriously afraid to call people. It's like an irrational fear, I know. But whenever I'm supposed to call someone I freak out. I guess it's because I think somebody I don't know is gonna pick up or I'm gonna have to wrong number or something. I have no idea, and it's totally random, but yeah. So I was just wondering if anyone else feels this way. And, I have two shoutouts to do (this is pretty cool, two people who I guess read these emailed me and asked for a shoutout, so if you're someone who reads this, comment me or email me: melaniehasOJD@aim.com) The first is for Kenzie, and the other is for Michael. Hi you two!! Thanks so much for reading these, I know they're stupid, but still, it means a lot. Bye!

Living with OJD: Quick update..

Hey everybody. I got home from rehearsal about an hour ago; we did a full run through. It was our first one, so it was pretty rough, but we managed. My feet, however, didn't fare so well. They're pretty bruised from my shoes and they're totally sore. But whatever, I'm getting used to it. So I don't really have anything else to talk about today, but if I think of something, I'll come back. This short one is to make up for the super long one yesterday. Sorry about that (:
xoxo, bye!

Living with OJD: Sims 2 and some other stuff..

Hello everyone. I just realized everyone is like, virtually nobody. But oh well. So, got a couple things to talk about today, the first being Sims 2. If you don't have this game, I'm assuming you've at least heard of it. Well, I get these couple days every once in a while where I'm like obsessed with it and this is one of those times (: I make random families and watch them for a while, then I make a new family, and so on. I got pretty far with one family, I just can't remember which one it is. So anyways, you know how you have to move around by moving the mouse to different sections of the screen? Well, I find that after I play for a long time I start doing that afterwards. And it gets super annoying! I go to scroll up on a page and I bring the mouse to the top of the screen expecting it to move up. I have no idea if that last sentence made any sense, but it's late. So, another thing; tomorrow is bring your children to work day or whatever. I'm too old to actually do the stuff, but one of my best friends (hi Noel!) is going, and so I'm just gonna chill with her I guess. I have to get up really early, which kind of sucks, but I can deal with it. Anyways, I remember I went one other time when I was like ten and it was really boring. My mom works in insurance, so yeah. Not exciting at all. And, the last thing I wanted to talk about was rehearsal tonight. I got back about two hours ago from possibly the most hot place I have ever been to. Our regular space was being used, so we went to this other place to practice our dancing. They didn't have air conditioning. So picture this: twenty people cramped onto a stage, skipping and trying to act happy and dancing and sweating. Not exactly my idea of fun. And to make things worse, one girl wasn't there so the directors had me step in to do her part for the night. I didn't have a problem with that, but it was just SO HOT. And the girl I was filling in for is kind of a dance freak. I mean, she trains and stuff, so she's really good and she knows all the moves and stuff; as opposed to me knowing nothing. But it was whatever. So we have to wear these heels called character shoes (if you're a girl who has been in a play before you know what I'm talking about) and I was really nervous about dancing with them but I didn't slip once! I was very proud (: But we went to WalMart afterwards to get some stuff for a party tomorrow and go figure, I fall just walking. Ughhh, my ankle is really bruised up and swollen, and we have another rehearsal tomorrow night. I'm not sure what I'm gonna do, but we'll see. So sorry this is really long, I know I rambled. Comment and tell your friends. Bye!

Living with OJD: Music notes and book writing..

Hello. So I just got super frustrated and gave up trying to write the music notes for a song I wrote a little bit ago. I have this thing called Finale NotePad 2008 and don't get me wrong, it's awesome. You can hear what you've created and your sheet music looks very professional. But my problem is that I have a song in my head and the lyrics and music all fit, but when I put the notes down on paper it never turns out how I planned them. It gets super annoying and so I saved my one line that I completed and decided to write this instead. Speaking of writing, how many people out there like to write stories and books and novels and stuff? I do (: But one problem I have is I can never finish a story. I get about five pages down in a Word document and my brain stops working. I have one book that's about 80 pages long and I would LOVE to finish it, but I just can't come up with good ideas. I love Jodi Piccoult books (sorry if I spelled her name wrong!) and they're like 300 pages. How does she do it??? And she has such interesting plot lines. I can't think of very interesting stories on a daily basis. So this blog is kind of a writer's block thing, sorry about that. I just thought I would share my problems on here. It's better than kicking and screaming.

Living with OJD: Age differences

Okay, so hi. Today I've been thinking a lot about age differences and things like that, so I guess that's what we're going to talk about today. I'm 15, but people often tell me that I act a lot older and more mature than that. People are surprised, but they're usually fine with the age difference and we're friends or whatever. I've never been in a relationship with someone over eighteen, and I'm good with that, so it's never been a big deal. In theater however, there are a lot of people from the ages of 17-mid twenties, and I find that since I'm a little more mature than people my age, I tend to hang out with that group of people. So they all just expect me to be 17 or 18 and when they find out that I'm younger, they kind of ignore me. Not like totally snub me, but a little to that affect. I usually end up making people feel guilty about something they had said to me, and while I'm not the least bit offended, they feel like they can't talk to me anymore. Is there any way to fix this? Please let me know. If I can somehow change my age legally, that'd be the ideal solution. Probably not gonna happen though. So anyway, I guess that's it. I posted up a picture and an about me and stuff like that so if you wanna take a look there, that'd be super. Bye!

Living with OJD: My opinion of Myspace

Hi everyone. Okay, so by now just about everyone on planet Earth has a myspace, or at least you've heard of it, so that's what we're going to talk about today. I made my myspace about six - eight months ago, it got deleted and then I remade it. So I pretty much know how annoying myspace is by now. It's basically an over-rated race to see who can get the most comments on photos, blogs and your profile in general. Myspace has ruined too many friendships just by creating the dreaded top 8. In case you've never heard of it, here's how it works: you put all your best friends in your top friends and everyone else just goes under friends which you can get to by clicking a few times. People who think that they're your best friends get upset and hurt when they're not in your top, so word to the wise, hide your top friends. There are lots of codes out there to do so, so just go ahead and do it. Myspace has become something people DEPEND on for a social community. I'm not exactly sure why, but so many people (girls esp.) have such low self esteem that if you don't comment thier new pictures within a day, they freak out and turn anorexic or emo or something. I'm not a total hypocrite though, because I must say that Myspace has helped me keep in touch with old friends. I move a lot so I do count on Myspace to keep me up to date about what's happening at my old schools. So, it's not all bad I guess. Oh but don't even get me started on how many times a girl (or boy) has gotten raped by someone who pretended to be a young guy (or girl). It's terrible how much crime there is due to Myspace, but I think if you only add people you know and make sure you don't give out too much information about yourself, I think you can benefit from it a little more. So, basically, that's my myspace rant, take it or leave it.

Living with OJD: Paris Hilton BFF?!

Okay, so I was on youtube and I was looking at WHATTHEBUCK?!'s account and he was talking about Paris Hilton on his new video. I guess she posted a myspace blog saying how she's in London with her rockstar boyfriend having the best time and whatever. The one thing he didn't mention (or maybe he did in another video, I'm not sure) is that she is starting a show on MTV called Paris Hilton BFF and they're holding casting auditions for it!!! WHAT THE HELL, PARIS??? That's all I have to say. Okay, well that's not all I have to say (: I think this might turn out to be like Tila Tiquila and her show. Basically where they do slutty stuff and then have this dramatic finale and then on the renuion Paris will tell them all that they're having a second season because their friendship didn't work out?!! I'm pretty sure that's how it'll go. But anyways...just wanted to let you know how screwed up Hollywood is (: Kay, bye!

Living with OJD: Hannah Montana and Jonas Brothers

Okay, so you probably all know about the Hannah Montana: Best of Both Worlds Tour by now and what a struggle it was to get tickets. Most venues were sold out in minutes, and our local arena was no different. My mom was on the computer at 10AM when they went on sale and by 10:15AM they were sold out. We got two seats, not next to each other, but only a couple rows away. So we were fine with that, but I kept checking just to make sure that there weren't any more open seats. About a month or so before the concert, I checked the website and found two seats that were off to the side but really close to the stage. One of the tickets was a row behind the other, but they were relatively in the same place. So we bought them and then we had our delima: we had two crappy seats that nobody wanted. By the way, I wasn't going for the Hannah Montana and Miley Cyrus parts, just her opening act, the Jonas Brothers! So anyways, we went to a basketball game a couple weeks after we got the new tickets and there was this guy who went up to the ticket person and asked if there were any more tickets for Hannah. She said no, but we decided to talk him about our extra tickets. So he bought them from us, and then his wife and daughter went I think. So back to the actual story. We went to the concert (me and my best friend; Hi Courtney!) and it was awesome. Seriously, it was a really great show, and I was suprised at how much I enjoyed the Miley and Hannah parts too. Jonas Brothers did the most amazing sets and I had a hard time believing that I was really right there. They were super amazing seats and at one point me and Court yelled Kevin's name and he turned and winked at us! I was so excited! He's such a sweetheart (: I went home that night not even believing that I had been there, that's how awesome it was. I seriously love the Jonas Brothers more than you can imagine, so that concert was just awesome. That was my second concert of theirs, the first being over in summer. I'm going again this summer and I'm so excited! Well, I guess I'll tune in with you guys later if I think of some other stuff to talk about...btw, this concert was in January, I just didn't have a blog then (:

Living with OJD: First blog...

Hi everyone! So this is my first blog, so I thought I'd just introduce myself and tell you some facts about myself. My name is Melanie and I'm a teen in the Northeast region of the US. I love the Jonas Brothers, and I am currently infected with OJD, obsessive Jonas disorder. I'm not suffering, I'm just enjoying every minute of it. My favorite tv shows consist of The Office, Life of Ryan, The Hills, Hannah Montana and some others I can't think of. I like the color green, I really don't know why. My favorite song currently is Fidelity and it's pretty amazing. I watch American Idol even though I hate it, it's very addictive. In this season (7th I think) I'm routing for David Cook, a very amazing intense rocker. I like movies like Juno and Superbad, but I'm also a sucker for Disney classics. I love Broadway and I personally love to act and sing (not saying that I'm any good, but...). I've been in a couple of community theater shows and I'm rehearsing for another right now. I'm pretty average I guess, I'm generous and I try to be kind and nice, but sometimes I flip out. I love to have fun, but that doesn't mean I'm a whore. I hate people who think they're better than everyone else. News flash: YOU'RE NOT. Oh man, this is so much better than a youtube! Haha, well that's pretty much me in a paragraph. This is kind of gonna be random posts about things that teenage girls deal with, so I hope you get a good laugh out of it (: I'll try to keep everything interesting, but there's no promises.
xoxo!
